Job Description:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer that will support the Solidscape engineering group.

Duties

Provide electrical engineering level support to the engineering group which includes:

  • Execute “hands on” debug and design correction of existing products’ electrical systems
  • Assist with production and/or vendor issues related to electrical components
  • Generate architectural layouts and designs for future products which may include component selection, power budgeting, cable design, PWB/CCA design, PLD programming, and design for regulatory agency approval
  • Support research into new model building methods and techniques.

Required Skills

Education

  • Must have BSEE or BSCS degree

Required Experience

  • Designing and debugging circuit card assemblies
  • Operating engineering tools (multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.)

Desired Experience

  • Electro-mechanical interfaces and sensor interfaces
  • Closed-loop motion and temperature systems
  • Or CAD and programmable logic tools
  • Agency certification (CE, UL, FCC) requirements

Computer Skills

  • Fully capable with MS Office programs
  • Programming knowledge (C/C++) a plus
