Job Description:
We are seeking a Product Development Chemist who will work under the direction of an Engineering Manager in the development of new
materials for 3D printing products. Responsibilities include mixing formulations, conducting in house tests, coordinating testing with outside labs, analyzing test results, report generation and operating 3D printers in the evaluation of new
materials.

Skills & Abilities

  • Capable of taking direction from Sr. Chemist and operating independently to perform assigned tasks
  • Ability to thrive in a small company environment with limited internal resourcesand dynamic product development environment, i.e., very flexible and creative with excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to cooperate and collaborate with team members with complementary technical backgrounds and skills
  • Ability to work successfully with outside commercial and / or academic institutions in materials formulation, testing and / or certification
  • Commitment to high quality, attentive to details and driven to closure
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good listening, organizational and documentation skills

Technical Experience

  • Minimum two years in experience chemical formulation environment
  • Experience in the formulation, manufacture and successful market
  • acceptance of thermoplastic and / or wax-based materials
  • Experience in the formulation of inks, adhesives or coatings a bonus

Academic Background

  • BS in Organic Chemistry
