Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Applications Specialist who will provide technical application development for the Solidscape family of 3D printers supporting Users, Sales and Marketing team, Hardware Technical Support team as well as to our worldwide network of Value Added Resellers.

Using problem solving and communications skills this individual will identify and communicate best practices to achieve best possible printing results and maximum productivity. Using troubleshooting skills he will assist technical support in resolving customer CAD file problems. He will also assist in the overall development of the technical practice which includes process improvements in the form of methodology enhancements, standard operating procedures, instructional guidelines, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively work directly with management, customers, sales, marketing and engineering
  • Must be able to deal with multiple tasks while tracking progress and providing timely status updates
  • Be able to operate and perform routine maintenance and cleaning on SSI equipment
  • Be able to demonstrate and/or instruct prospects, customers and resellers on the use of Solidscape printers and applications 
  • Assist in the development of new applications and the testing of those applications
  • Provide technical assistance in the following areas:
    • STL support
    • CAD support
    • Post Processing Support
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software applications and’or Rapid Prototyping industry strongly desired
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Training experience helpful
  • Understanding or experience with scanning devices helpful
  • Understanding or experience with investment casting helpful
  • Experience in Dental applications helpful
  • Creativity and willingness to gain an advanced understanding of rapid prototyping applications are desired attributes

  • Customer focused attitude with an appropriate sense of urgency and attention to details when dealing with process or machine related issues
