Summary: Solidscape, Inc. and GeoDigm Corporation Enter Into Technology Agreement for the Dental/Orthodontic Market

July 20, 2003 (Merrimack, NH) - Solidscape, Inc., a leading provider of precision Rapid Pattern Making Systems, announced that the company has entered into a technology agreement with GeoDigm Corporation. The agreement encompasses the dental and orthodontic markets on an exclusive basis for North America.

GeoDigm develops and markets a proprietary laser scanning technology for a variety of dental and orthodontic applications. The technology platform uses a custom designed, laser based scanning system to "map" the surface of dental models and dental impressions. It then processes the scanned information into a 3-D digital record that describes, in exacting detail, the complex surface features of a patient's dental anatomy.

"We evaluated a number of the available RP systems and determined that Solidscape has the only technology capable of fabricating investment casting patterns that meet the dimensional tolerances our products require", said Andrew Hoffmeister, President. "Utilizing advanced rapid prototype equipment to facilitate delivery of production quantities is a good example of the innovative approach GeoDigm is taking to bring technology solutions to the dental market. Solidscape technology is an integral part of our strategy. We have already installed nine PatternMaster™ systems and are extremely please with the results we are achieving".
