Summary: Solidscape®, Inc. Adds R66 System to Target Retail Jewelers

Merrimack, NH, February 23, 2007 – Solidscape®, Inc., the worldwide leader in precision wax pattern-making systems for the jewelry industry, today announced the R66 system to coincide with the INHORGENTA event in Munich, Germany. In the USA, Solidscape’s first showing of the R66 will be at the MJSA Expo in New York City. Solidscape has provided systems to the jewelry industry for over 10 years, but the R66 is Solidscape’s first system targeting retail jewelry establishments.

Available immediately, the R66 jewelry system brings even greater ease of use to Solidscape’s line of wax growers. As with all Solidscape systems, the R66 uses Solidscape’s acclaimed build material that is specifically formulated for lost-wax casting applications. This means no unexpected shrinkage or expansion and no residual ash to cause pitting.

The system sports a Windows interface and a duty cycle ideal for the needs of the progressive custom retailer. And Solidscape’s new R66 operator interface, called Click-It™, easily leads users through the job setup process. Transfer files to the R66 using an industry standard USB flash memory drive or the system’s built-in Ethernet interface. The R66 has a large, 232mm² build area in which to put its 5,000 dpi XY resolution to work. Build layers can be as fine as 0.013mm with minimum features of 0.254mm. There are many jewelry retailers who produce their own custom line of jewelry but whose volumes can not support the purchase of Solidscape’s T66 BT2 production system. Pricing for the R66 is $35,650 and includes a one-year warranty and a set of spare jets. Prices are FOB plant.
